Despatcher CHC


 

We are looking for an active and focused person with data management, customer service and general office administration skills.

You will need good communication skills especially on the phone and by email. You’ll also need good skills in normal business software including Excel, and good data entry skills.

The Despatcher receives and actions catering and other service requests from our airline customers. You will be working with the airline staff at Christchurch and our production and delivery teams to ensure that the right catering is provided on time.

Basic Functions:

· To ensure LSG Sky Chefs teams have current and accurate flight information as supplied by our airline customers.

· Receive information from the airlines regarding passenger numbers, flight schedules and special meal requests.

· Enter airline data into computer systems.

· Announce increases, decreases and other changes over PA system

· Follow up to confirm receipt of increases, decreases and other changes.

· Re-check information at regular intervals and communicate alterations to affected teams.

This role is office based, and located in our operational area. You will have constant interaction with our transport and kitchen staff. The position is rostered across the week and you can expect to work during the weekend regularly. Normal working hours are 5.00am to 2.30pm although these may change to match airline and production requirements.
