LSG Sky Chefs is an airline and retail catering company operating throughout New Zealand.  We operate a service to airlines departing from Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown Airports.

Our Queenstown team is based near the airport and is responsible for preparing meals and other catering supplies and then delivering and loading our products onto aircraft and removing inbound airline supplies.

Key Accountabilities of a Guider

• Loads items (carts and units predominately) onto truck according to strip/load sheet
• Guides driver onto aircraft following Company procedures
• Unloads/Loads items onto aircraft according to strip/load sheet
• Returns all items to kitchen and initial sort to correct work area
• Report on any issues
• Work in cooperation with other departments regarding supply and timing of tasks
• Adhere to LSG Sky Chefs policies and procedures

Physical ability

• Access aircraft - climb stairs/ladder while carrying up to 18kg
• Lots of bending, pushing
• Light to Heavy lifting
• On feet all day

 

Knowledge and Experience

• English read, write, (basic +)
• Driver Licence, Airside Permit
• Ramp Safety Training (internal)
• Understand flight schedules and loading requirements per airline, class
• Assess quality
• Good communicator
• Proactive
