LSG Sky Chefs, a global leader in airline catering, is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our Queenstown production kitchen. This is a hands-on leadership role in a structured, high-volume environment with predictable workflows and strong support.

The Role

You’ll lead culinary production and food assembly teams to deliver airline meals safely, on time, and to exacting standards. Responsibilities include:


  • Leading daily food production and assembly operations
  • Ensuring food safety, quality, and audit compliance
  • Managing labour, rosters, costs, and waste
  • Coaching and developing a team of ~20 staff
  • Driving health & safety and continuous improvement

About You

You’ll bring:
  • Proven leadership experience in high-volume catering, production kitchens, or hospitality
  • Strong food safety and quality knowledge
  • Hands-on, calm leadership style in deadline-driven environments
  • Excellent communication skills
  • NZQA Level 4 Culinary qualification (or equivalent)
Airline or large-scale catering experience is highly regarded.
